Craft beer and quinoa; beards, bikes and baristas. If the adjectives ‘craft’, ‘artisan’ and ’boutique’ are in your daily vocabulary, then this is the tour for you!
In the post-industrial economy of the Nineties and Noughties a new approach appeared among the so-called Millennials.
Suddenly to be un-hip was to be hipper than hip as the hipster came to town. Rejecting accepted norms of fashion and interaction, this was an extreme postmodernism.
As a result, the rejection of fashion norms became a fashion choice in itself. It became embodied in a new economy which has absorbed the edginess to accommodate a wider audience.
But it has also provided the impetus for a new air of creativity, and the means for creatives to thrive.
So oil your beard, expose your tattoos, and join me on a stroll through Shoreditch, Bethnal Green and Spitalfields to experience the new creative economy.
See for yourself how millennials have transformed the modern world’s approach to business, and how commercial creativity can be!
